Time for Turkey!
We all know a Turkey makes a delicious roast. That’s why we traditionally go back to it year after year, at that time where good food matters most.
First of all, it’s a big bird! There’s a lot of white meat and dark meat to feed the whole family, and when cooked well, it’s a moist and flavourful centrepiece. However, a turkey does not need to be just for Christmas. With that unique, delicate flavour and being such a lean meat, it’s perfect for fresh summer dishes too.
We set the challenge of making 1 of our organic turkeys into 5 meals for a family of 4 to 6 hungry people. It has such a versatile flavour that it fits perfectly with a classic roast, a traditional Italian dish, a mezze salad and a couple of saucy curries.
Enjoy your Sunday lunch all together, go all out with the trimmings! Roast potatoes, red cabbage, cauliflower cheese, broccoli, carrots, bread sauce, pigs in blankets, a jammy cranberry sauce and of course, that mouth-watering homemade gravy. Do this first then all your leftovers can be whipped up into the dishes below.
A baked Italian dish full of real flavour! Sun-ripened Italian cherry tomatoes, creamy buffalo mozzarella, fresh basil, parsley and rosemary all complimenting the pulled turkey at the base of it. A summer treat served with a zingy salad.
A cold Persian-inspired salad packed with fresh herbs, olive oil, sea salt and tangy lemon. With the addition of organic shredded turkey breast, this is perfect for sunny lunchtimes.
Biryani is a South Asian mixed rice dish full of flavour. The creaminess of the yoghurt with the rich tomatoes and spices combine to create a mouth-watering eat. Organic turkey compliments it perfectly holding its delicate flavour alongside the mix of fresh, organic vegetables and basmati rice.
