Place the curry powder, garlic, ½ the lemon juice, chilli flakes, ginger and copped spring onions into a blender, adding ½ the coconut milk and some salt, then blend to form a smooth paste.
Over a medium heat in a frying pan add the paste and cook for around 3 minutes.
Add the remaining coconut milk and simmer for 15 minutes until thickened.
Slice the fish into evenly sized pieces. Then place the flour, with some salt and pepper and 1 tsp of curry powder on a plate and combine.
Coat the fish slices with a light dusting of flour, then heat 2 tbsp of oil in a non stick frying pan and fry the fish for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden and thoroughly cooked.
Plate up some of the basmati rice topping with the cod and pour over the curry sauce.
