How To Cook
Spicy Chicken Mince Stir-Fry
Ingredients
- 500g chicken mince
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1-inch piece of ginger, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon chili garlic sauce (adjust for spice level)
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 cup diced vegetables (e.g., bell peppers, carrots, or green beans)
- 2 green onions, finely sliced (reserve some for garnish)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground white pepper
- Fresh basil leaves (optional, Thai basil preferred)
- Steamed rice or lettuce wraps for serving
-
Prepare Ingredients:
Finely chop vegetables and set aside. Mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, chili garlic sauce, and sugar in a small bowl. -
Cook Chicken Mince:
Heat sesame oil in a large pan or wok over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger, stirring until fragrant (about 30 seconds). Add chicken mince and cook, breaking it apart, until no longer pink (4-5 minutes). -
Add Vegetables and Sauce:
Stir in diced vegetables and cook for 3 minutes until tender but still crisp. Pour in the prepared sauce, mixing well to coat the chicken and vegetables. Cook for 2 more minutes. -
Finish and Garnish:
Add white pepper and toss in green onions. If using, stir in fresh basil leaves at the end. -
Serve:
Serve hot with steamed rice or in lettuce cups for a lighter option. Garnish with reserved green onions or additional chili slices for extra heat.
