Storage & Shelf Life
Our mutton chops are delivered fresh in an insulated box. They are butchered fresh to order and will arrive with a 7-day shelf life (including the day of delivery). We recommend for these to be stored below 4 degrees or alternatively, you can pop them in the freezer for up to 6 months.
How To Cook
We Recommend:
Marinate the Mutton Chops:
- In a bowl, mix olive oil, garlic, and rosemary. Season the mutton chops with salt and pepper, then rub the marinade onto the chops.
- Let the chops marinate for 30 minutes to 2 hours (or overnight in the fridge).
Grill the Chops:
- Place the mutton chops on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or 6-7 minutes per side for medium. Mutton is best served with a bit of pink in the centre to keep it tender.
Rest and Serve:
- Remove the chops from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving. This allows the juices to be redistributed.
- Serve with lemon wedges for a fresh zing, and pair with grilled vegetables, salad, or mashed potatoes.
