What’s Organic September all about?
“Every time we choose to buy an organic product we’re voting for a better food system. I find it impossible to be 100% organic, but I do trade up whenever I can. If we can all start to re-address what we buy, cook and eat, gradually buying better and wasting less, that’s only going to move our food system forward in a positive and more sustainable way.”

Our favourite month is Organic September! It is a month filled with what we do and what we are passionate about - organic food, tips and tricks, facts and figures, health-benefits of organic, benefits to the environment and all things organic.
Here are 5 organic factoids:
Always free range. Organic means the very highest standards of animal welfare & animals reared without the routine use of drugs, antibiotics & wormers.
Organic farms are havens for wildlife and provide homes for bees, birds and butterflies – there’s up to 50% more wildlife on organic farms! We can confirm this by the number of flying insects in the office in the summer…
Organically produced crops (fruits, vegetables, herbs and cereals) contain up to 68% more antioxidants than non-organic. Making organic better for your body.
Never any GM ingredients. Over one million tonnes of GM crops are imported each year to feed non-organic livestock. Our organic animals cannot be fed on GM feed.
Organic works with nature, not against it. Organic farming doesn’t rely on synthetic or petroleum-based pesticides or fertilizers. It significantly reduces water and soil contamination and so our wildlife can thrive.
We understand that going completely organic can be a struggle. But every time you choose organic milk, an organic roasting joint or even a bunch of organic carrots, you are making a difference and stepping towards a more environmentally-friendly, animal-friendly and people-friendly farming system.
This Organic September, we have teamed up with Knorr who have just released their organic stock range. We have two feast-filled organic recipe boxes for your perusal - slow and smoky beef brisket or hot and fruity chicken tagine, which one would you choose? Take a look at them here or enter online and be one of five lucky winners for an organic chicken tagine box of your own!
