These simple homemade beef koftas are packed with flavour and perfect for summer BBQs, quick midweek dinners, or serving flatbreads and fresh salads. Using organic steak mince creates beautifully juicy kebabs with a rich beef flavour, while fresh coriander, cumin, garlic, and chilli bring warmth and freshness to every bite.
Serves 4
Ingredients
1 egg
I slice of sourdough (crumbed)
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon chilli
A handful of fresh coriander chopped
1 tablespoon tomato purée
1 teaspoon cumin
2 garlic cloves grated
1 onion grated
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon paprika

Method
Place all ingredients into a large mixing bowl.
Using clean hands, mix everything together thoroughly until fully combined.
Shape the mixture into kebab-style sausages around skewers, or form into small kofta-shaped logs by hand.
If time allows, chill in the fridge for 20–30 minutes to help firm up.
Cook on a hot BBQ or griddle pan for around 10–12 minutes, turning regularly until nicely charred on the outside and cooked through.
Serve with flatbreads, yogurt, salad, or grilled vegetables for an easy summer meal.
