Looking for something a little different from the traditional turkey this Christmas? Our Organic Spiced Apple Pork Joint makes a wonderful festive alternative – or an extra centrepiece for larger gatherings. Using outdoor-bred organic pork from trusted British farms and finished with our very own Spiced Apple Glaze, this joint is a delicious blend of savoury and sweet, perfect for the season.

Available in two sizes – 1.2kg (serves 3–4 people) and 2.4kg (serves 6–8 people) – it’s easy to pick the right size for your table. Whether it’s an intimate family meal or a big Christmas Day spread, this joint adds a touch of homely warmth to your festive feast.


Ingredients

Optional extras:

  • A splash of organic cider or apple juice for the roasting tin

  • Fresh sage leaves for garnish


Method

  1. Get ready
    Take the pork out of the fridge an hour before cooking. Preheat the oven to 220°C (200°C fan) / Gas 7.

  2. Season well
    Rub the joint with olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper. Pop it in a roasting tin with the onion around it and roast for 20 minutes to get a golden crust.

  3. Roast gently
    Turn the oven down to 180°C (160°C fan) / Gas 4. Add a splash of cider or apple juice to keep it moist. Roast for 25 minutes per 500g plus 20 minutes extra:

    • 1.2kg joint: around 1 hour 20 minutes

    • 2.4kg joint: around 2 hours 20 minutes

  4. Glaze it up
    In the final 30 minutes, brush the pork with our Spiced Apple Glaze, topping up every 10 minutes for a glossy, sticky finish.

  5. Rest and enjoy
    Cover loosely with foil and let it rest for 20 minutes before carving.

  • A splash of gravy made from the roasting juices or a little extra cider ties it all together.
