The Ultimate Easter Roast Dinner Checklist
Easter has always been an underrated time of year in our humble opinion. Picture this, we’ve finally waved goodbye to the bitter bite of British Winter, you’re gathered with your nearest and dearest, and Eversfield have provided the tastiest Easter banquet to bless your table.
We’re the self-professed experts of roast dinners. So, read on to discover what simply HAS to make it into your feast this year.
This is a chance to take advantage of the humble pea and its prime in early Spring. The crisp and refreshing bite of a Pea, Spring Onion & Mint Tart is the perfect appetizer before you pile your plate to brim with hunks of organic meat, mountains of veggies and lashings of rich gravy.
Due to the Spring lambing season, lamb joints are associated with an Easter meal. However, these lambs are only ready to reach our plates around September. Not to worry though, as due to our fantastic local sheep farmers thinking ahead, we've got a fully stocked grass-fed offering of tempting Lamb joints.
The Saddle of Lamb, stuffed with organic Mint and Rosemary hints towards a family roast to remember. Inspired to season yourself? Well our Whole Leg, Lamb Shoulder, Rack Of Lamb, and Lamb Loin Joint (Boned and Rolled) are all complimented perfectly by rosemary, garlic, thyme and sage. Our top tip is to stud the lamb with your herb a day before you plan to cook. This will allow them the chance to permeate the meat and spread that moreish flavour. If you’re feeling like adding more of a kick, then concoct your own blend or spices. We suggest cumin, garam masala, paprika, black pepper and coriander. You can always keep it safe and follow our divine Balsamic Slow Roast Lamb Recipe.

Our award-winning grass-fed beef range is never out of place at the Easter dinner table. The show stopping choice has to be our 28 Day Dry Aged Beef Rib On The Bone, winner of a three star Great Taste Award! We’ve also got Topside, Silverside, and Sirloin joints, certain to please any hungry crowd.
Looking for a couple of leftfield options? The Devon Organic Norfolk Black and Bronze Turkeys still taste juicy and divine when served up alongside an Easter vegetable selection. Wrap in your choice of our perfectly crispy organic bacon and let that extra intra-muscular fat provide succulence in every slice.
There’s really no need to overcomplicate things when it comes to the humble potato, although if you’re feeling adventurous then the possibilities are truly endless. Follow our Garlic and Rosemary Roasties recipe for the crispiest, fluffiest, golden spuds you could wish for. If you want that added creaminess you can always whip up an organic dauphinoise. However, we’ll be getting our cheesy fix from one of our vegetable recipes.

The recipe in question is one that we think should accompany any special roast dinner. Yotam Ottolenghi’s Mustardy Cauliflower Cheese. The simple dish is taken to a new dimension with a unique blend of spices and a generous dollop of wholegrain mustard. We’d also suggest whipping up Roasted Carrots and Crispy Curly Kale, with walnuts and a vinegar squash puree. A scintillating combination of textures and flavours produces a satisfying veggie dish. Add grilled asparagus, peas, parsnips and a swede & squash mash to really bring your plate to life with a range of colours.
It’s time to round up your plate and add those finishing touches. Delve into our Herby Yorkshire Puddings, a great twist to help you mop up your organic gravy. Speaking of gravy, there’s never been a better time to make your own with one of our Home Farm Kitchen range bone broths, extra tasty when combined with cooking juices from your organic meat choice.
We’ve got four exclusive homemade stuffing blends to choose from. Including a classic Sage & Onion, as well as a zesty Lemon, Herb & Pepper. Easy to make and always going down a treat, they’re the perfect way to round off your banquet.
