Planning your Christmas with Eversfield Organic? We’ve gathered the most frequently asked questions to help you feel confident and excited about your festive feast. From delivery timings to storage tips, here’s everything you need to know…
Ordering & Delivery
What is the last day I can place an order for Christmas?
You can place your Christmas order right up to the 20th of December. After this date, we’ll still be accepting Turkey orders only.
Can I place an order now for Christmas delivery?
Yes! Christmas pre-orders open from 1st October. If you’re one of our VIP customers, you’ll enjoy early access from September.
Can I change my delivery date once my order is placed?
Absolutely. You can change your delivery date up to 5 days prior to your original slot. Just call, email, or use our online chat with your order details.
Can I add to my order once placed?
Yes. Simply use the link on your order confirmation email (up to 5 days before delivery), or call our friendly customer care team.
What happens if my parcel is delayed?
Our packaging keeps everything perfectly chilled for 48 hours. This means your parcel may occasionally arrive the day after your chosen delivery day. If it’s delayed any longer, get in touch and we’ll be ready to help.
What if I’m not home when my order arrives?
No problem. You can select delivery options with your chosen courier, and your parcel will stay chilled in its wool-lined packaging if left in a safe place.
Freshness & Storage
How will my Christmas order be packed?
All orders are packed in wool lining and gel ice packs, keeping them chilled for 48 hours. Most parcels are dispatched on a 24-hour service, so rest assured your food will stay fresh.
Will my meat stay fresh until Christmas?
-
Deliveries on or after 19th December will remain fresh until at least 26th December.
-
Orders before 19th December should be frozen to maintain quality.
Can I freeze the meat I order for Christmas?
Yes – freezing will not affect the quality of your organic meat. Just defrost fully and bring it to room temperature before cooking.
How do I store the bird when it arrives?
Keep it in the bag (don’t seal, to allow airflow) and store in the fridge – the lower shelves are best. If your delivery is before the 19th, simply freeze.
Do I need to wash the birds before cooking?
No. Cooking to the correct temperature is the safest method.
My bag is open, is this normal?
Yes. This prevents the bird from sweating.
My bird smells stronger than expected – is this normal?
Yes. Organic birds are naturally reared without pesticides or preservatives, so they may have a richer aroma than conventional meat.
Christmas Extras
Do you offer Christmas hampers or special bundles?
Yes! Explore our Gifting section for thoughtfully curated hampers and festive bundles.
Do you offer Christmas gift vouchers?
Yes, you’ll find them in our Gifting section too – perfect for sharing the joy of organic food.
Are the goose products organic?
Not certified yet, but they are raised to organic-equivalent standards. The land is not currently certified, but everything from feed to care matches our high welfare standards.
Are your sausages gluten free?
Yes, though we cannot guarantee against cross-contamination.
Are the glazes already on the food, or do I add them myself?
Glazes are provided separately, so you can add them during cooking for the freshest finish. Full instructions are always included in the product descriptions.
