Tip Top Organic Gin Recipes
For many, January is a month where cutting back becomes second nature. But we think it can also be a month for enjoying more of life’s sweetest moments, for instance, getting together with friends and family and toasting to good health.
Celebrating Ginuary
Although you may consider dry January a necessity after over-indulging in the festive period, there are many ways to enjoy your favourite organic tipples within moderation. With no strict rules or guidelines to follow, Ginuary is a fun event which looks to celebrate the versatility of the stylish spirit.
In adoration of the delicious gins that we proudly stock in our spirit armoury, we’ve come up with a number of special recipes which can be brought out to impress at a cocktail party or smoothly accompany a relaxing night in. If you do find yourself plodding along steadily with dry Jan, then save these recipes for a victorious refreshment when February rolls around!
Our Favourite Recipes
We’re proud to stock a number of organic gins, each full of magic and intrigue. The story behind the Land of Saints Organic Gin, distilled by the Cornish Spirits Drink Company, is quite something. Working hand in hand with the conservation charity Fauna and Flora by sharing their profits for action against deforestation, this really is a gin with an impactful background. We have taken the decision to donate a percentage of each sale of this particular gin to help fight against climate injustice.
The gin itself, a smooth blend of 13 botanicals, combines fresh citrus and floral notes with a balanced level of juniper. We love blitzing it together with fresh organic berries for a fruity and refreshing Blueberry Gin Fizz. After something that really lets the gin take centre stage? Well, we recommend plumping for a subtle Cucumber and Elderflower G&T. If you want gin on your plate as well as in your glass we’ve got you covered with our Gin and Tonic Cake. Top with lime zest and sherbet sweets for a real zing.
We currently have three gin infusions brought to you by the good people at Atlantic Distillery, Cornwall’s only Soil Association-certified organic spirit producer. Firstly, their Earl Grey Gin. This tipple is slightly drier but still provides a refreshing, moreish aftertaste. Whip up our Earl Grey Martini for a sophisticated, tasty crowd-pleaser at your next dinner party.
Looking for more of a kick? Their chilli infusion certainly checks all the boxes. Pair simply with our Luscombe Organics Tonic Water, a fiery combination not for the faint-hearted. We’ve also got the festive spirit if you’re still feeling Christmassy (sorry to bring up that word in January). The Festive Spice infusion is a rich twist of cinnamon and spices, often being compared to a Christmas pudding in a glass! This one is great on its own to wash down an organic feast with a touch of sweetness.
