Our Autumn Food Favourites
The harvest season makes for an exciting time here at Eversfield Organic. With October comes bountiful yields of seasonal fruit and veg, bringing an abundance of fresh produce long after the summer has ended.
Here’s a roundup of all our current organic food favourites for outstanding autumnal feasting…
Seasonal Veg
Amongst the vegetables flourishing in our Market Garden this month are various varieties of squash. Winter squashes are extremely versatile and tasty, and can be the base to many autumnal stews, soups, and curries.
Our favourite this month is the classic butternut squash, with its sweet, nutty flavour, and firm texture perfect for roasting.
Sometimes nothing beats a good spud, especially as the evenings get colder, what could be more warming than a decent serving of roast potatoes? Our organic baking potatoes are amazing for roasting, mashing and baking, providing the best accompaniment to any meal. At the moment we’re particularly enjoying serving them smashed, lightly salted, with plenty of garlic and rosemary.

Our Organic Grass-Fed Beef
It goes without saying that our organic grass-fed beef has to be one of our favourite products, no matter what time of year, however autumn truly gives it a time to shine in cosy slow cooker stews, casseroles and chilis.
Our beef braising steak is the quintessential cut of meat for this, extremely lean and tender, melting in the mouth when slow cooked. Our diced stewing beef is also amazing for slow cooker recipes, breaking down beautifully when braised low and slow.
