Cornish Sardine Fillets - Wild & Butterflied
Choose options
Beautifully butterflied and wild-caught in the waters off Cornwall, these Cornish sardine fillets are a true celebration of British coastal fish. With the larger bones carefully removed, only the tender, edible pin bones remain — contributing both to texture and nutrition. The scales are left on, too — a detail that’s surprisingly important to many traditionalists — but easily removed with a quick scrape of a teaspoon, should you prefer a smoother finish.
These sardine fillets offer a rich, authentic flavour that’s robust but never overpowering. The flesh is meaty and satisfying, ideal for pan-frying, grilling, or baking whole with fresh herbs, citrus, and a drizzle of organic olive oil. Packed naturally with omega-3 fatty acids, sardines are known for supporting heart and brain health, making them one of the most nutritious choices from the sea.
Our Cornish sardines come from a responsibly managed, MSC-certified fishery, ensuring low-impact, sustainable harvesting that supports marine ecosystems and British fishing communities alike. Each fillet is individually flash-frozen, allowing you to cook only what you need and keep the rest perfectly preserved.
Best enjoyed: Pan-fried until crisp, grilled with a squeeze of lemon, or tossed into a summer salad. Serve with crusty bread or seasonal vegetables for a simple, nourishing meal from sea to plate.
